MEET STEPH
HELLO THERE!
I'm the owner and graphic designer at Brainstorm Design Studios
based in the beautiful country of Zambia.
I am passionately in love with great design.
(and my husband- I love you too, Noonie-pie)
I was born in Johannesburg but Zambia has been my home (and my parents home, and my grandparents home) since forever.
Growing up I went to school in Zimbabwe, South Africa and finally
attended university at The Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia.
There I initially completed a Diploma in Design, followed by a degree in Advertising & Marketing
(A Major I eventually left and changed to BA Mass Communication with a minor in Web Development).
After four years in Aus, my better half, Alex, and I moved back to Zambia in 2012 because I simply couldn't be away for so long - I missed home. Before too long we were hitched and had two beautiful homunculi crawling around our ankles and I started doing some odd design jobs for some local hotels to help pay the bills. I was feeling invigorated and inspired to go out on my own and start my own business, so in January 2015, with the help and support of my husband, Brainstorm Design Studios opened for business, we took off and I've never looked back.
After being away from home for so long, I am truly passionate about giving back to the Zambian community; I am a contributing member of the STBA (Siavonga Tourism & Business Development Association) and do what I can to help out the small local businesses. I Believe Zambia has some truly wonderful local products and talents- they just need to be showcased properly.
I enjoy working with small businesses and any individual that’s also passionate about what they do.
When I’m not helping my clients, I enjoy working on my own side projects-producing graphic art prints.This helps me stay fresh in what I do and gives me new challenges to experience and be inspired by.

Depending on what your needs are, I work with a talented team of website developers specializing in WordPress custom site design to achieve and all-encompasing brand.
At Brainstorm, I take on a very limited number of new clients per month to ensure each project gets the attention it deserves. Throughout the branding process, you work directly with me as we create a beautifully cohesive new look that reflects your brand's style while also delivering an effective marketing tool for your business for years to come.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN YOU DESIGN A LOGO FOR MY BUSINESS?
Yes I do. When I design a logo I believe it should be something that should inspire the rest of the brands's design. Although logo's are an important reflection of the brand, they are not the brand in it's entirety. If you’re interested in working with me or just have a question, get in touch with me on my contact page, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
DO YOU ACCEPT RUSH JOBS?
I do! Although I find that all the best creative projects have been made with lots of time and lots of love. Depending on my current workload and if you’re willing to pay a small rush fee for the work, I will do what it takes to get the job done. I’m here to help out in anyway possible—Even if you’re on a time crunch.
ARE YOU ABLE TO MEET ME?
Well that depends where you are... The studio is based in Siavonga but a large portion of my client base is in Lusaka so I do frequent Town quite often. Usually, I like to get organised via email with you first and then have one large meeting to go over contracts and the project.
Although I don't really find it all that necessary to meet, Initial meetings can be arranged and are free but all subsequent meetings will be billed.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO REACH YOU?
You can contact me via phone whatsapp or email although mail works best and is prefered. For the sake of my family and my sanity, I work by a strict schedule so most often will only answer my phone from 7.30am- 5pm due to time-keeping.
I do my best to respond as promptly as possible and response time usually depends on my work load at that time. I do prefer to schedule all calls, Skype, and Google Hangout sessions in advance so that I may plan to be available and allot the proper amount of time for our conversation.
I like email- It’s fast, efficient, and I like having a written record of our conversation. But hey, if you're desperate then don't hesitate to call.

We can quote you, depending on what you are interested in getting done.
Drop us a line in the contact form and we will send you our Media Kit and packaging deals for you to have a browse through. The Media Kit will give you a whole array of items to pick and choose from and also lists the associated costs
If you send us your budget we can also let you know what we can accomplish with it.
All of our quotations are in USD, as we also cater to an international market
but we are totally happy to accept payment in Kwacha.
We graciously like to recieve payment via Bank Transfer and Paypal,
But if neither of those things are for you then we say
"Cash in the hand is better than none in the bank account."
